of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction. We currently have an opening for a Customer Service Manager in our headquarters in Canton, MA. This individual will be responsible to manage the customer service group locally and regionally and
ensure that the fulfillment of receiving, processing, shipping and completing customer purchase orders
for the Sika Sarnafil products and services. The Customer Service Manager will be an important asset to determine the strategic direction of the
customer service functions. This position is responsible to ensure continuous improvement in our customer service focus area. The incumbent needs to understand our SAP S&D tool, need to have excellent management skills with
a get it done attitude and the ability to understand our industry. This position reports to the Director of Customer Operations.
The
responsibilities include:
Manage, mentor and
coach Customer Service Representatives, Purchasing Coordinator and related roles ensuring quality service
and coverage throughout the USA.
Ensure continuous improvement
of the customer service functions including invoicing accuracy
Responsible
to implement SAP Template policies for Sales and Distribution
Oversight
and management of open SAP contracts and open SAP purchase orders to ensure timely “close outs”
Resolve
customer claims pertaining to order processing
Supervise credit holds and
work with Sales, Accounting and the Customer Service Representatives to resolve
Accountable
to ensure deliveries are billed in a timely fashion and issues are resolved quickly by all Regions
Distribute
list of possible Tax Exempt jobs and work with Regional Managers as needed to resolve problems
Ensuring
appropriate backup coverage for customer service functions as needed for vacation and absentee issues
Manage
the processing of custom product requests with the Lab, Sales, Logistics, etc.
Represent customer service in Production scheduling meetings
Oversee 3rd party product ordering
and invoicing
Oversee the data maintenance and user-training of
the Quote System
Follow company environmental and safety policies
Other projects as they arise
The
ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
BA/BS
Degree in Business Management highly desirable
5 + years of prior
equivalent work experience in a Customer Service Management position
Knowledge
of the construction/roofing industry is a plus
Computer literacy
(Windows Applications: Word, Excel, Lotus Notes email)
SAP (S&D
Module) and database knowledge highly desirable
Prior position
with management of local and regional employees
Good aptitude
for numbers
Detail oriented
A
management aptitude with customer service orientation
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills
