The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a member driven professional association, and thus, the primary goal of the Continuing Education Systems (CES) is to provide the best available professional development opportunities to their architects and related industry professionals.
Is it mandatory for AIA members to attend these AIA/CES Programs?
Architectural boards in 22 states and 7 Canadian provinces have implemented mandatory continuing educations for re-licensure. Minimum requirements and report dates are unique to each state and do not necessarily parallel those of the AIA. Please make yourself familiar with your state or provinces Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) requirements.
