Cold and Warm Weather Applications
Sarnacol is a family of adhesives based on synthetic rubber, polyurethane or dispersion resin. Sarnacol adhesives are designed especially for use in roofing. Each is specially suited to particular applications. OlyBond500 is designed for use with insulation.

Sarnacol 2170
Sarnacol 2170 is a solvent-based adhesive for adhering Sarnafil G membrane to roofs of any pitch and for making adhered bonds at flashings and terminations.

Surfaces to which Sarnacol 2170 is applied must be:
- Dry and dust-free
- Solvent resistant
- Free of oil or grease

Sarnacol 2121
Sarnacol 2121 is a water-based adhesive used for bonding Sarnafil G membrane to absorbent substrates.

Surfaces to which Sarnacol 2121 is applied must be:
- No steeper than 5º
- Free of dust and oil
- Absorbent (water absorbent)
- Dry
Sarnacol 2121 is cold weather sensitive and should not be used when either air or substrate temperatures are expected to fall below 40 degrees (F) (+5 °C).

OlyBond500
OlyBond500 is a two-component, low-rise, polyurethane ribbon-applied foam adhesive. It is strong, quick-to-set and easy-to-use with insulation on a variety of deck types.

Mixed and dispensed through a non-heated 30-foot hose on the “PaceCart,” a self-contained, portable gear pump, OlyBond500’s two components may be applied in bands spaced 12 inches-on-center at a rate of one gallon per 100 square feet. Once applied, the adhesive ribbon spreads to several inches in width then rises to a depth of ¾ to 1 inch, giving a coverage rate of 50 to 75 percent, compared to a coverage rate of 20 percent for beaded adhesives.
- Does not contain VOC’s or HCFC’s
- Noise-free
- Curing takes place in 4 to 8 minutes

Sarnacol LR-2001
Sarnacol LR-2001 is a two-component, polyurethane construction grade, low rise expanding foam adhesive. It is formulated for adhering feltback Sarnafil membrane or insulation to various substrates including dry and clean concrete, cellular lightweight concrete, gypsum plank, spray polyurethane foam, cementitious wood fiber and wood.
Surfaces to which Sarnacol 2121 is applied must be:
- Clean, smooth, dry, free of sharp edges, loose materials, oils and grease
Sarnacol 2121 shall only be applied when air and substrate temperatures is 40 degrees (F) (+5 °C) or above.
